Hey! Edna Wilson here, your hometown realtor, as hometown as apple pie. Let's talk Zillow one more time (NOT), we're going to talk about it a lot more. It drives me crazy when I hear people say "Zillow has nothing to do with the sale of my house or the value of my house or the buy-" What makes you think Zillow has nothing to do with your house? First, let's talk zestimates, now we've talked about this before because they are typically wrong, they cannot determine what updates have been done to a house they can't determine if it's a condo, a house, a townhouse, or a trailer, it just sees the price per square foot, and throws it all together. So zestimates definitely affect your buying power or your selling power because the buyer doesn't want to pay over zestimate, and sometimes you sellers want to go with zestimate when assessment's not right.
