Ring ring ring! "Hey Edna, I am so tired of renting, I want to buy a house!" That's my favorite phone call to get, you know why? Because rent keeps going up, you have no control over how much they're going to charge you for rent, and you're paying someone else's mortgage. The first thing you want to do is talk to a lender, we have a lot of local lenders that we partner with because a local lender can tell you exactly about neighborhoods and what qualifies for what different programs- by the way, we have tons of different programs. The second thing you want to do is after you know how much you qualify for, I'm going to start sending you lists. "Here's some lists of some houses you can go see."
